Constitution

The Alabaster Society is governed by a Constitution adopted by its members. The key provisions are summarised below. The full text is available on request from the Honorary Secretary.

Officers

The Society is administered by elected officers, including an Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer. Officers are elected at General Meetings held during the Alabaster Gathering.

Membership

Membership is open to anyone with a connection to or interest in the Alabaster family. The subscription year runs from 1 September to 31 August. One household subscription entitles members to one copy of the Alabaster Chronicle per issue and one vote at General Meetings. Other family members at the same address may be included at no extra charge.

General Meetings

General Meetings are held at the Alabaster Gathering. All paid-up members are entitled to attend and vote.

Data handling

The Society does not transfer member data to marketing or other organisations. Information sent to the Secretary or the Editor of the Alabaster Chronicle is deemed to be for publication unless clearly stated otherwise. Please note that the Chronicle and this website may be seen by non-members.
